Sandy Brae Board Bios:

Marty McDonnell, Marty and his dog Buckley moved into Sandy Brea in January of 2023. You may have seen Marty and Buckley on one of their daily walks. Originally from the Washington D.C. area, Marty has called Lewes home for the past 18 years. He previously owned and operated Ledo Pizza in Rehoboth Beach. He is now employed by Aramark Corp based in Philadelphia as a Systems Engineer but is fortunate to work from home. Marty loves spending as much time outdoors, hiking, biking, or playing golf which is why he loves living here so much.

John Kelly, John’s family has owned their home in Sandy Brae for over 40 years. A veteran of the US Army Security Agency, John recently retired after 50 years service with the federal government as a supervisory investigator. He serves on the Board of charitable organizations and operates a living history association. You may see him driving his WWII Jeep in the community! He also volunteers at Cape Henlopen State Park’s Fort Miles. John lives with his wife ,Gail, on Beech Drive. He enjoys visits from family, driving the WW II Jeep, and the company of wonderful neighbors.

Helen Hannah, Helena has over 30 years’ experience in management and accounting.Prior to retirement, worked at the national headquarters of a sorority as accounting manager. Served as council member/treasurer for the Town of Bowers Beach. Moved to Sandy Brae in 2019 and enjoys living near the water. Lives with husband Charlie and two dogs on Maple Drive. For the past two years, Helena has been serving as Secretary on the Board.

Jessica Harrison, Jessica is a Sussex County native and licensed Realtor with the Debbie Reed Team at RE/MAX Realty Group as of 2019. She is a local graduate of Delaware Tech with a degree in Business Management and Accounting. Jessica lives with her husband, Mark, and their rescue pups, Booker and Hudson, on Dogwood Lane. Jessica enjoys volunteering and is on the Board of Sussex County Association of Realtors Sussex Strong Foundation. When not with clients, she enjoys traveling the world!

Lisa George, Hails from Philadelphia until moving to Sandy Brae in 2022. With 35 years of administrative experience in the legal and medical fields, she currently is on staff at a mental health practice in Lewes. She was a member of the Byberry Friends Quaker Meeting where she served as a Trustee and Recording Clerk for 12 years. For over 20 years she was a member of the Parkwood Civic Association, where she launched a successful grass roots effort for land preservation. She has always been an active community volunteer and continues to be one here in Lewes. Lisa lives on Juniper Lane with her husband, Gregg, and their pup, Peanut. She enjoys visits from family, bike riding, beach days, and the company of wonderful neighbors. For the past year, Lisa has been serving as a Director on the Board.
